About

The cold glow of a video projector – the only source of light – illuminates a rugged black and white space, setting the scene for an immersive and disconcerting exploration of the human condition.

In this enigmatically titled work, We go around at night and are consumed by fire, controversial Italian choreographer Roberto Castello fuses cinema, dance and theatre to offer insights into a life fueled by endless desire.

Four dancers move together, never communicating directly, yet finding small moments of contact, even tenderness. They openly struggle with the brusque and emotional movements. Like characters in a Beckett play, they are relentlessly driven to carry on.

Little by little, the repetitive, pulsating rhythm of music and movement draws us into a trance-like space. Both comical and grotesque, we experience an almost physical empathy for the profound exhaustion of the performers, whose journey reflects our insatiable quest for more.
