Christos Papadopoulos returns to DDF with his latest creation, My Fierce Ignorant Step, which connects a vibrant soundscape with intricate movement to illuminate the sheer euphoria of being alive.

About
Ten dancers listen, breathe and move as one. Memories, voices and rhythms accumulate, pulse and swell until the movement itself begins to feel like an exhilarating song – one that resonates far beyond the stage.
Papadopoulos’s most personal work to date, My Fierce Ignorant Step is about beginnings: a youthful lust for life, fearless belief, and the sense that everything still lies ahead. It is an attempt to reclaim that state – its strength, its confidence and its spirit of togetherness.
Created after Papadopoulos received the inaugural Rose International Dance Prize, My Fierce Ignorant Step is buoyant, open-hearted and deeply human. It celebrates connection and invites audiences to rediscover our courage and the radical power of hope. It reminds us that to feel alive, together, is already an act of resistance.
