Interspaces – Artist Talk Christos Papadopoulos

Known for his precise, mesmerising movement language, Papadopoulos has captivated festival audiences before with Elvedon in 2017 and Ion in 2018. About Christos Papadopoulos:

Greek choreographer, Christos Papadopoulos studied dance and choreography at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam, theatre at Greece’s National Theatre Drama School, and political sciences in Athens. His work explores the universal patterns of change and the monumental shifts occurring around the world. The choreographer’s first works, Opus and Elvedon, were chosen by Aerowaves and toured extensively in 2016 and 2018.

The choreographer has since created works for the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), Lyon Opera Ballet and the Biennale de la Danse de Lyon. Papadopoulos was named as the winner of the inaugural Rose International Dance Prize (Sadler’s Wells, London) for his haunting production, LARSEN C.
