Toast to 21 years of DDF!

And we are celebrating in style. From our very first steps to packed theatres and standing ovations, we’ve come a long way and the 21st Edition is already one to remember.

We kicked things off with Chora – a stunning collaboration between Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company and the Irish Chamber Orchestra at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. It was everything we hoped for: powerful, moving, and utterly captivating. A reminder of the magic that happens when music and movement come together in perfect harmony.

Over the years, we’ve seen unforgettable performances, big risks, bold ideas, and moments that stopped us in our tracks. This year is no different – but there’s something undeniably special about 21. Maybe it’s the buzz in the theatre, maybe it’s the sense of shared history. Maybe it’s just knowing how far we’ve come.

So, cheers – not just to us, but to you. To the artists who pour their hearts into the work. To the audiences who come with curiosity and leave transformed. To our partners, supporters, friends and the whole DDF family – a big thank you.
