PAF Connects x Dublin Dance Festival
Yesterday evening, we were delighted to gather with our DDF Friends and colleagues from Performing Arts Forum at the Abbey Theatre for a special PAF Connects @ Dublin Dance Festival event, where we experienced My Fierce Ignorant Step by Christos Papadopoulos.
The evening was a celebration of connection, creativity and shared experience. Everything we value in bringing artists and audiences together.
We began the night at the Abbey, where guests gathered for drinks and refreshments ahead of the performance. Conversations flowed as new connections were made and familiar faces reunited, with a shared sense of anticipation building for the show. The atmosphere was open and energising. A true space for exchange, reflection and community.
Then it was time for the performance. In My Fierce Ignorant Step, ten dancers moved with a striking sense of unity, building a shared rhythm that pulsed through the space. Subtle gestures accumulated into something expansive, as breath, sound and movement intertwined. The work captured a feeling of youthful momentum and collective energy, an exploration of beginnings, of fearless belief, and of the euphoria of being alive.
It was a captivating experience that lingered well beyond the final moment, sparking conversation and reflection as audiences stepped back out into the evening.
Evenings like this are at the heart of PAF Connects x Dublin Dance Festival. We hope to create a space for connection, dialogue and the shared experience of performance.
