Irish Modern Dance Company presents ACTIONS at the Peacock from January 25th
ACTIONS / An evening of Men in Motion
Abbey Theatre, on the Peacock stage 25 January – 1 February 2014
Fresh from rave reviews and standing ovations in Avignon, New York and Edinburgh, Irish Modern Dance Theatre brings an evening of four athletic and hilarious dance pieces, including two premieres, to the Abbey Theatre.
Firm favourite ACTIONS is a sweeping and vigorous performance by two incredible dancers, Ashley Chen and Philip Connaughton (Alice in Funderland).
IMDT is honoured to present Totem Ancestor, a stunning solo piece by Merce Cunningham, the most important choreographer of our time.
John Scott performs his Beckett-like solo The Bowing Dance. The Big Message, Scott’s latest work, introduces the virtuosic young dancer Kevin Coquelard. This frantic and funny new piece completes a programme brimming with energy and adventure.
