While the Summer 2021 Edition may have come to a close, we're excited that we can extend the Festival experience a little longer on our DDF Home Stage.

Moves, grooves and attitudes intertwine in this video work by Belgian choreographer and dancer Cassiel Gaube based on his study of House dance; a style born in the clubs of Chicago and New York in the early eighties.

The Sofa Dance

In this short film, 30 acrobats physically express the shared experience of living within drastically limited space – creating joy, absurdity and beauty while stuck at home on their sofas. DDF invites audiences of all ages to give it a go by creating their own #MySofaDance and sharing these online!

Spring... As If Trying Not To Own The Earth
Instant Dissidence

This year-long dance and food activism project examines our connection with nature, and our role within our food system and the wider context of climate justice. It highlights a need to reconnect with our bodies and with the Earth in a sustainable way.

Organised by calendar seasons, the first phase of this project involved two residencies – one focused on Growing, the other on Eating.
