Dance After Dark: DDF Lates at Bewley’s
In 2026, Dublin Dance Festival partnered with Bewley's Café on Grafton Street for the first time, making the iconic venue a vibrant hub throughout the Festival. From hosting the DDF2026 Festival Launch to presenting DDF Lates at Bewley's, the partnership brought new energy to one of Dublin's most iconic cultural venues.
Across two Saturday nights during the Festival, audiences gathered after hours to experience immersive events that transformed the historic café theatre into a vibrant space for movement, sound and connection. Through collaborations with artists, musicians and DJs, DDF Lates at Bewley's brought dance, live music and club culture together, offering audiences a fresh way to experience dance in the heart of the city.

TRACES
The series opened with TRACES, an evening curated by Dublin Modular that brought together contemporary dance, live electronic music and DJ sets in a dynamic site-responsive performance. Inspired by the unique architecture and atmosphere of Bewley's Café, the event invited audiences to move through the space and experience dance in an entirely new way.
The evening created an immersive dialogue between movement and sound, transforming the venue into a shared space of discovery and celebration.
FREQUENCY
The following weekend, FREQUENCY continued the late-night series, bringing together dance, music and community for another unforgettable evening. With live performances and a buzzing atmosphere, audiences experienced Bewley's Café as a place where contemporary dance and nightlife met, creating moments of connection long after the Festival performances had ended. The evening was curated by award-winning DJ Onai, one of Ireland and the UK's most sough-after DJs and an official Adidas DJ based in London, transforming the venue into a vibrant space where audiences, artists and festival-goers connected well into the night.
DDF Lates at Bewley's marked the beginning of an exciting new partnership between Dublin Dance Festival and Bewley's Café Theatre.
Together, TRACES and FREQUENCY celebrated the energy of the dance floor, transforming Bewley's Café into a vibrant late-night destination where dance, live music and club culture came together to create unforgettable shared experiences.
A heartfelt thank you to Bewley's Café, all the artists, musicians, DJs, collaborators and every soul who joined us across the two evenings.
