About

They uncover dance not only as movement, but also as a festive meeting space and a form of connection.

Exploring these ideas, choreographer Edward Tamayo creates a looping choreography that focuses on the relationship of feet and pelvis to space, rhythm and the group. What begins as a simple pattern becomes a shared groove; a spark that grows through repetition and connection, bringing to life a physical 'mantra' inspired by dance marathons and Latin American rhythms.

Celebrating the vibrant cultural roots of LaCerda’s artistic directors – the source of their passion for dance – this piece is a tribute to dance, and to the enduring desire to dance through life, no matter what.
