The unerring attention to detail on the quality of the music and the atmosphere generated on one heady night after another has become the stuff of legend.
For this special Dublin Dance Festival edition at The Sugar Club, Dónal will be playing an extended set which is like an alternative guide to the musical universe. Special guest selector will be another esteemed member of the Backstory family, Hewan Mulugeta.
Born and raised in Ethiopia, Hewan brings an immense amount of knowledge to each and every one of her singular sets. Playing mainly grooves from the 1960s and 70s golden era of modern Ethiopian music, she also incorporates a range of other African sounds into a glorious melting pot that never fails to set the night on fire.
Backstory Dance will start at 10pm after the Dance to Remember screening and live performance event.
