BUMPER 2 BUMPER is back, now with events for the whole family! Boogie on down to Meeting House Square, Temple Bar and join us for the Opening Night of DDF 09.

Move, shake, throw shapes….show us what you’ve got at BUMPER 2 BUMPER – DDF’s free, outdoor headphone disco.

Maybe you need some inspiration? This year you’ll have the chance to learn a few moves from the experts, as well as catch some of the festival’s performers getting into the groove.

From 7pm, brush up on salsa, modern and musical theatre moves and bring your kids for a children’s dance class.  Leading the classes will be dancers Justine Doswell and Karla Holden from IMDT, Liz Roche from Rex Levitates and New York fitness legend Pall Gale. After the classes, guerilla performances by some of the Festival’s artists, including junk ensemble and Cas Public, will hit the square. The first part of the evening is open to all and is unticketed.

So come dance with us, and when Phantom 105.2 DJ’s Sinead Ni Mhordha and Sinister Pete take to the decks at 9pm, you can show us your finest moves.  They’ll be playing all the latest indie floor fillers and classics from the 80s and 90s live on-air. As this is a broadcast event, you’ll need to grab the nearest FM radio and tune it to Phantom 105.2. Then get some headphones, your mates and your brand new sweater and join us for a top notch, noiseless, knees up!

Tickets are required for the Headphone Disco. They will be available for collection from the DDF Box Office at Temple Bar Cultural Information Centre from May 1.
Tickets limited to 4 per person.

Over 18s. ID required for collection of tickets and at the venue.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
