Dance on Film returns to Light House with a selection of six short Irish dance films for you to enjoy.

Following the success of the RTÉ Dance on the Box screenings during DDF 2010, we present another opportunity to catch these four wonderful, diverse films that were commissioned in 2010.  Deep End Dance (Chor: David Bolger, Dir: Conor Horgan), Admit One (Chor: John Scott, Dir: Steve Woods), Her Mother’s Daughters (Chor: Cindy Cummings, Dir: Oonagh Kearney) and Mo Mhórchoir Féin – A Prayer (Chor:  Fearghus Ó Conchúir, Dir: Dearbhla Walsh) have all enjoyed great success since they were first screened on RTÉ television in May, with Deep End Dance recently being nominated for an IFTA.

Alongside these four shorts, two films by 3angle productions (a collaborative venture of Director Jade Travers, Choreographer Rebecca Reilly and Costume Designer Jeni Roddy), The Evelyn Tables and Lebenszyklus, will be screened.

The screening will be followed by a short panel discussion with some of the featured filmmakers and choreographers about making dance for film.
