On May 25th, leading writers on dance Mary Kate Connolly (UK); Helen Meany (Irl); Wendy Perron (USA) and Michael Seaver (Irl) discussed many emerging questions from the field of dance criticism. Chaired by Michael Seaver, the panel addressed such areas as the opportunities and issues presented by the increasing use of online media, the role of the critic in the dialogue between artist and audience, and the responsibilities of the critic writing within a small artistic community, among several other topics.
