If comparing creative practices, fashion photography and dance have obvious parallels – they both deal with bodies in space - bodies framed by their environment.
A 2015 graduate of NCAD, Andrew Nuding’s fashion photography career was kickstarted by an ad campaign for American Apparel, and he’s since gone on to document Simone Rocha’s Spring Summer 2016 show, as well as having been featured by a host of fashion magazines (Dazed & Confused, Wonderland, Thread) and in exhibitions in Dublin and London.
Andrew’s photography is whimsical and surreal, creating scenes where boundaries between bodies, the clothes they’re wearing and the natural world blur. When asked to name a key element of what he does, he said simply “the unexpected”.
Stay tuned for Andrew’s words on his chosen show. Andrew tweets and Instagrams @andrewnuding
