FAST TRACK TO DANCE

A shared initiative of Live Collision and Dublin Dance Festival

Dates: Thurs 21 – Sunday 24 (inclusive) – participants must have full availability during the hours listed below

Are you curious about dance? Would you like to see more, while also learning how to engage with, respond to and discuss dance performances? Would you be interested in hearing what the artists have to say? Then now is your chance to dive into the unknown and relish what dance has to offer!

Live Collision invites you to join Fast Track for an immersive weekend of dance during the Festival. As a group, you will attend back-to-back Festival shows, talks, exclusive meet-the-maker sessions and more. This critically devised programme is specifically tailored for audience members who are new to dance and will give an intimate insight into the making and presentation of dance. Curated and facilitated by Niamh McCann and Lynnette Moran of Live Collision.

How to apply

Complete a short online application form
The application includes contact details and a request for a short (150 word) statement about why you would like to take part. Please give us an indication of why you are interested in this initiative, and/or why you would like to find out more about dance through this programme.
Please include your name, address, email and contact number and submit this form, you will receive confirmation of your application.

Requirements

Fast Track to Dance will run from May 21st – 24th. There are limited places available so please make sure you have full availability for the dates and times below -

Fri 22nd May 6pm - 10pm

Sat 23rd May 10am - 10pm

Sun 24th May 12pm - 5pm

Price: €85 inclusive of all show tickets, meet the makers and talks. (You will see over 7 shows, 2 Post shows, 2 meet the maker session and several facilitated group discussions)

Please note we have a very limited number of places available on the programme.

YOU PLUS ONE

In addition : There will be two special events as part of our new YOU PLUS ONE initiative, supported by the Aerowaves network. We are inviting all Fast Track Participants for 2015 & Fast Track Alumni to take part in You Plus One, a special initiative for you and a friend to attend an exclusive artist audience conversation as part of Dublin Dance Festival’s Aerowaves mixed bill performances on Wednesday 27th and Friday 29th May. More information will be provided for successful applicants.

We would ask all applicants to consider these dates in their availability when applying.
