The European Union funded E-MOTIONAL Bodies & Cities project comes to a close this weekend with the "E-Motional Festival: moving bodies & cities" in Bucharest from 12-14 April. Gabriela Tudor Foundation and the National Dance Centre in Bucharest present the event as the culimination of a two-year programme dedicated to mobility and artistic exchanges in the field of contemporary dance, organised between 2011-2013. Artists involved in the Artistic Research strand of the project, including Fearghus Ó Conchúir and Laura Murphy from Ireland, have gathered in Bucharest to share their working process, alongside performances by Romanian, Latvian, Cypriot and Turkish dance artists. The E-Motional Festival is presented and co-organised by Gabriela Tudor Foundation in partnership with the National Dance Centre Bucharest and the National Museum of Contemporary Arts, and financially supported by the Culture 2007-2013 of the European Union, as well as by the European Cultural Foundation in Amsterdam. E-MOTIONAL Bodies & Cities is created and produced by Gabriela Tudor Foundation in Bucharest in collaboration with key partners Dublin Dance Festival and Dance Ireland (IE), The Association of Professional Dance Choreographers of Latvia (LV), Dance House Lemesos (CY), and body>data>space (UK), as coorganisers. E-MOTIONAL has been realised in Ireland by Dance Ireland, Dublin Dance Festival, the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick and the Firkin Crane, Cork.
