It was recently decided by high court ruling that, due to rental disputes, the Light House Cinema, Smithfield was to close immediately. Since 2009 the Light House Cinema has been a wonderful partner of Dublin Dance Festival. We have held numerous screenings in their award-winning surroundings, we have been delighted by the helpfulness of their staff, and we have been greatly supported by the Cinema’s co-directors, Neil and Maretta. Like many people in Dublin, we’re disappointed that such a great cultural amenity has had to close, and we will miss the Light House Cinema deeply.

For those of you who have purchased tickets to either of our upcoming Dance on Film events, or for those of you who would like to purchase tickets, we will have a new venue confirmed shortly. Any tickets already purchased will be honoured by the new venue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
