This year’s showcase will include:

Robyn Byrne
Queen of the Meadows

I remember growing up around my grandmother’s unconventional ways; putting cobwebs on cut knees, knocking on wood, mystical cures for ailments. I recall these moments with such theatricality that they seem otherworldly, absurd, far-fetched, surreal. Queen of the Meadows is a tribute to a generation of women who, along with their folklore, are slowly disappearing.

Fearghus Ó Conchúir & Isabella Oberländer
Unreeled II

Since the mid-nineties, Fearghus has investigated the politics of gay experience in Ireland, and Isabella has aligned her choreography and performance practice with a wide range of feminist art-making in the country. As part of an ongoing exploration of queer sanctuary and solidarity between them, Unreeled II asks what new arrangements of support and desire are available between bodies.

Luca Truffarelli
The Weight

This new work explores ideas of freedom and the individualism of human beings. Shining a spotlight on workers’ rights, The Weight presents scenes from daily life that make us feel trapped, isolated and powerless. It invites us to think more closely about others, and to look more deeply at ourselves.
