Re-Presenting Ireland is a showcase initiative of Culture Ireland, Dance Ireland and Dublin Dance Festival. It is the primary platform for Irish and Ireland-based choreographers and companies to introduce their work to new audiences, including international presenters.
Following an open call to artists, the 2015 Re-Presenting Ireland programme was selected by Julia Carruthers (Dublin Dance Festival), Niamh O’Donnell (Mermaid Arts Centre), Jesper de Neergaard (Bora Bora, Aarhus, Denmark) and Laura Cameron Lewis (The Work Room, Glasgow, UK).
Head on Body Theatre Dance: Pantastic!! Pantastic!! is a philanthropist junkie who just keeps giving! In a 1-man 1-pan show, Clorine and her superior pan dance an exquisite duet, that evokes hope and disconcertion.
Oona Doherty: .NOW. From a thumping leather jacket. To a connected open space. .NOW. to the transitional moment from one movement state to another. To find new satisfactions and deepen the old.
Lucia Kickham: In This Now Playing with the expansion and compression of time, this energetic and honest solo explores our perception of time – passing, filling, earning, killing, slowing, making.
Luke Murphy. Attic Projects: Your Own Man / Mad Notions This intimate piece of dance theatre combines storytelling, imagery and movement to create a personal essay on identity - and the nature of leaving, returning and searching for home.
