Still Current (Russell Maliphant Company)

Internationally acclaimed choreographer Russell Maliphant presents a dynamic evening of stunning new work, alongside two of his iconic pieces, the Olivier Award-nominated Afterlight (Part One) and the dazzling solo Two.

Drawing from contemporary dance, ballet and martial arts, this new repertory will see Maliphant perform together with his remarkable company of dancers including Thomasin Gülgeç, who brings his fluid agility to this daring choreography; Dickson Mbi, famed for his incredible popping style; and the captivating Carys Staton.

This strikingly beautiful programme features lighting by long-time collaborator, the award-winning lighting designer Michael Hulls, an eclectic soundtrack by Erik Satie, Andy Cowton, Mukul and Armand Amar, and costumes by Stevie Stewart.

Maliphant is one of the world’s leading dance creators, renowned for his fascination with the relationship between movement, light and music. An Associate Artist at Sadler’s Wells in London, he has worked with DV8, the BalletBoyz, Robert Lepage and Sylvie Guillem.
