Latest DDF news
The Opening Weekend was wonderful - thanks to junk ensemble and all involved in Five Ways to Drown for kicking off the Festival with style and great energy. Bumper 2 Bumper saw nearly 500 people bopping, jiving and shaking a leg on Meeting House Square, Temple Bar. Thanks to Phantom 105.2, Temple Bar Cultural Trust, Bavaria and the weather for making it such a great night out!
DDF Blogger extraordinaire, Duncan Keegan, is back on the case this year - read about Duncan’s Opening Night experience on our blog here.
Helen Herbertson and the Sunstruck team arrived from Melbourne on Saturday morning and have been soaking up the Festival buzz already. Sunstruck opens on Tuesday May 11at Smock Alley and limited tickets are available here.
Yvonne Rainer & company have arrived safely. Yvonne was a wonderful guest at Light House Cinema yesterday (despite film/flight problems!). Her works RoS Indexical and Spiraling Down will open at Project Arts Centre on Tuesday May 11 and tickets are still available here.
Read Michael Seaver’s preview article about Yvonne Rainer’s work in Monday’s Irish Times here.
