We meet three men at the end of a meal. They sit, drink, smoke, dance…and talk. The remnants of a conversation spool endlessly. Shallow talk about everything, about dance, about nothing.
At times propelling themselves around the stage with violent force, at times brooding quietly, they move through the idle chat. Achieving movement that is both precise and languid, they continue to drink and dance with increasing fervour. They are stuck, looking for a way out, foraging through the masticated pieces of that first conversation.
Caterina Sagna made her debut performance in her mother Anna Sagna’s company Sutki in Turin. She danced with Carolyn Carlson during the 1980s and went on to found her own company before joining forces with her sister Carlotta to establish the Caterina & Carlotta Sagna Company in France in 2009.
Performance will be in French accompanied by English surtitles.
